WALDORF wasn't the first synthesizer company that got me hooked on their synths. In 1976, I decided to hang up my bass guitar and switch over to keyboards so I traded in my Rickenbacker for an ELKA. Later that year, I went to a Music Show similar to today's NAMM but on a smaller scale. That is where I saw my first ARP, the OMNI. Here is an article from the June, 1979 edition of ARPEGGIO where you can see me with my OMNI, 2600, Odyssey, Pro Soloist, Sequencer, Little Brother & two Minus Noise Mixers. People say I look like a young Klaus Schulze. Soon after this I purchased another Sequencer and the AXXE mentioned in my PS. ARP then went out of business and through my ignorance, I decided to sell them all not knowing what they'd be worth in the 21st Century.
When WALDORF went out of business in 2004, and already a dozen Waldorf synths in my studio, I decided not to make the same mistake twice and actually purchased more Waldorfs before it was announced that they were back in business ... bringing my Waldorf total to 20.
